The current tentative date for $ustain (#920) is May 19, which is also Day 1 of PyCon (#889). Maybe there is a trip that includes SF for $ustain and then Portland for PyCon?

Looking at this ... PyCon (#889) talks are due today. Is this even feasible?

I mean, we don't have money for this. Right? Who am I kidding?

Hmm ... OSCON registration alone is $1400. So that's out.

I can almost certainly do OSCON for free with an expo pass: #948 (comment). I think I'd rather go to OSCON than PyCon in order to reach new people. I've never been to OSCON and I'm curious about it—I think of it as more corporate, which for us is a good thing because we want corporations to pay for open source! I'm seeing $480 for a three-city trip, which is 37% more than just round-trip to Austin for OSCON: not too bad.

@clone1018 What are your thoughts on making this trip? Can we talk dates and come up with a shared budget?

$ustain is shifting into June, in which case OSCON and $ustain are turning into two trips.
