I read through all the docs - including https://github.com/iCopy-X-Community/icopyx-teardown/blob/master/hardware/README.md where it states "open from the top". I'm not sure what they mean though - I can't seem to fit an opening pick in any of the edges. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. I'm receiving "Boot timeout!" but I can't lose the copied keys that are on there.

Just opened mine, only the top, but glued difficult to remove. I didn’t try yet to continue.
My NanoPi NEO seem different (compared to pictures here but same size, perhaps new revision ?), and there is no SD card inside.
