Aaah that's a good one actually. I think this would fall under functional smart default styling that we should have indeed in LionButton. Would you like to create a pull request adding this CSS?

Wasn't this a usability/a11y concern? @erikkroes maybe you remember as well?

The native button allows to select as well:

We should only make sure that not the caret cursor is shown, but the regular mouse pointer instead

Update:

• we need select behavior as described by @Biswajee when button has :active state
• in other cases, text should still be selectable
