This has already been implemented as a pull request and a fork two years ago.

Not sure why they were never merged in, I guess because of lack of interest. This strikes me as a heavy addition to try to maintain going forward.

Closing this in favor of #3171, do you mind continuing the discussion over there? I think the next steps for that PR are to update it to the latest master, and convince people why it’s worth adding to CoffeeScript 😄
