Adding martial arts #8
Comments
The character generator is using the revised martial arts rules from Dominus Exxet. In those rules, each martial art from the core rulebook was split into 3 different degrees of skill, and in most of them the MK bonus isn't obtained until reaching the 2nd degree (in the case of Tai Chi, it grants 10 MK for the base degree and another 20 MK for the advanced degree). There are 4 pages for martial arts in the core rulebook, there are 15 for the revised system in Dominus Exxet; everybody I've talked to so far prefers the revised rules, but they do require using an extra book (which has a lot of other cool stuff also). Do you want to give those rules a try, or do you think the character generator should have an option to use the core rulebook martial arts? I could take a stab at adding such an option, but not sure when I'd have time to do it; this project has been stalled for a while because some of the players in my campaign have been too busy with other time commitments recently to fit in any game sessions. |
Hey hello, actually i forked the project and discovered just that a few minutes after writting this comment! |
Sure, go ahead; I'll definitely make time to review and merge any reasonable changes. And I'll try to use that as motivation to charge on and continue with the next batch of features; I was trying to finish adding support for the creature and magic rules needed to support a succubus NPC who's traveling with the party (one of the PCs was so impressed by the ease with which she took him down that he recruited her). |
Hello, yesterday i tried this tool to create some character (and shared it to some of my friends for them to use it) and we noticed that whenever you add a martial art module to your character, you dont get the bonus MK ( +10mk for each martial art except tai chi which is +30 IIRC)
Maybe im just wrong and it doesnt work like that, care to confirm anyone?
