It would be ideal if there was a universal binary on GitHub so users that want to run the app natively on Apple Silicon don't have to build the project themselves

Are there any noticeable issues simply running the existing release? This is an I/O bound application, I can't imagine there would be any issues running the Intel binary with Rosetta.

There aren't any issues, but some people are turned off to apps that run through Rosetta. I just figured since the project seems already set up for universal binaries it would make sense to just release it.
