Can Dada Mail be configured to use, "~/" instead of the home directory #1134

I'm finding that configurations are being botched, as the home directory is moved. For example

original home directory: /home/foo

New home directory: /home2/foo

would it be good to default to installing at ~/foo? Or is this just a shell shortcut?
