We still have versions of Node.js in the support target that have been end-of-life for quite some time. This version range wil have to be upgraded to a list of supported Node.js versions, and our support target should be clarified in the README.

For clarification we will enforce the same version support target as the Node.js project itself. This means that we'll be supporting the active LTS release, maintenance releases and the current release at any given point a new version of the adapter is released. New versions of the Node.js adapter will be considered evergreen, meaning that dropping support for end-of-life Node.js versions will not be considered a breaking change. It will be the users' responsibility to ensure they are on an actively supported version of Node.js (as they should be out of security and support concerns).
