Kotlin & Gradle updates

Hey there, it's me again (#17).

It would be an idea to update the project to Kotlin 2, the new major version of Kotlin.
Furthermore converting to Kotlin DSL instead of plain gradle would be another idea to keep this project up-to-date with de-facto standards :).
