javascript:
1-case sensitive 2-browser dependent 3-platform independent 4-object base
==javascript variables are loosely typed(can change type at runtime ) and initial value undefined
==constant variables are const myVar=5; are read-only cannot change its value
== undefined means variables does not assigned to value yet
== typeof used to return the type of variables ex:typeof myvar;
==javascript coercion means when js compare two data types with each others like boolean==integer js will evaluate that
boolean converted to false and false equal zero means boolean==integer hykon true that happend with == only and === the coercion will not happened
example in coercion
// Returns true
undefined == null;
null == undefined;
// Returns false
undefined === null;
null === undefined;
var sNumber, iNumber;
sNumber = '42';
iNumber = 42;
// Equality comparisons yields true
sNumber == iNumber;
// Strict comparison yields false
sNumber === iNumber;
==for..in used to loop through object
example:
for (variablename in object) { statement; }
== window is the global object
==parse int() used to convert value to number
example:
parseInt(3a) //returns 3
parseInt(a3) //returns NAN note if start with number will evaluted to NAN
==number() used to convert the datatype to its integer value
example:
myVar = new Boolean("true") document.write(Number(myVar)) // returns 1
==IsNaN() used to evalute value that is NAN oR Not
example
document.write(isNaN(hello)) //returns true document.write(isNaN("348")) //returns false
==eval(expression) used to evaluate string expression to integer values
example
f=999; w=777; document.write(eval(f + w)); // returns 1776
==javascript hoisting variables with var are hoisted and will be undefined
js function declaration will be hoisted
any variables with let and const will be hoisted but will give you reference error if you access them before initializatio
//see hoisting
==js objects fall in 4 categories
-custom object
-built in (string,function,math,number,array)
-BOM(browser object model)
-DoM(document object model)
==js array created with three ways
- Array n=new Array();
n[0]="blue";
-Array n=new Array("blue","yellow");
-var arr = [apple", banana", grapes"];
==js associative array is an array with string indcies
-var assocArray = new Array( ); assocArray["one"] = "one";
====================================================================================================================
==window object have some objects like (navigator,screen,history,location,document)
-window is the global object is javascript
-window have some methods like (Settimeout,setinterval,cleartimeout,clearinterval,scrollby)
-window.navigator have some options (.appversion,.cookieenabled,.platform)
-window.location have some options (.hostname,.por,.host)
-window.history have some methods(go(),back(),forward())
-window.document have some methods (getelementbyid(),getelementbyname(),getelementbytagname())
== javascript events are (onmouseover,onblur,onclick)
==<a href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="alert('hi')" > // browseer will ignore href action and will not go to any place
and we can make with return false <a href=1.htm onclick=myFunc();return false>
======================================================================================================================
== document object have some collections like links, anchors, images, forms are
collection/array containing all occurrences of those objects within the document.
== javascript cookies
-cookies are two types
1-session cookie: have expiry date when user close browser
2-persistent cookie : expiry date and stored i user harddisk
-cookie limitation
1- only 300 cookie
2-max size for cookie 4kb
3-each site have only 20 cookie
- cookie have some functions we used are getcookie(),setcookie(),deletecookie()
========================================================================================================================
==Selecting the first item with id someID
document.queryselect("div");
==Selecting all the divs in the current container
document.querySelectorAll("div");
==Access nodes: Using parent/child relationship properties parentNode, childNodes, firstChild, lastChild, nextSibling, previousSibling Using getElementsById(), getElementsByTagName(), getElementsByName()
 Modify nodes: Using innerHTML or innerText/textContent Using nodeValue or setAttribute() or just using attributes as object properties
 Remove nodes with removeChild() or replaceChild() And add new ones with appendChild(), cloneNode(), insertBefore()
==========================================================================================================================
== javascript event object
--two way to detect events
1-capture phase goes down
2-bubbling phase goes up
-- we can stop capture and bubbling using
1-stopPropagation()
2-cancelbubble()
-- Event object have some methods like
1-removeeventlistner()
2-addeventlistner()
3-preventdefault()
================================================================================================================================
== javascript error handling
- try{} catch( ex ){} finally{}
-onerror object in window object is fired when error is happen
ex: window.onerror=function(){ ................}
console.log(1 < 2 < 3); true 1<2 => true true < 3 true because true is 1
console.log(3 > 2 > 1);false3 > 2 true true > 1 false because true is 1 and 1 isn't bigger than 1
