Environment

  • OS and version: Debian 11.6
  • VS Code: 1.75.1
  • C/C++ extension: 1.21.5
  • GDB / LLDB version: gdb 10.1.90.20210103-git

Bug Summary and Steps to Reproduce

Bug Summary:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create simple configureation in launch.json
  2. We do not run the process gdbserver on a remote server.
  3. Start debugging remote attach
  4. If the connection failed, a list of local processes will be displayed. I was expecting to see an error message instead of a list of local process.
