  • The -b flag does not send xwinwrap behind the desktop icon layer without FDT flag
  • With fdt flag, positioning is inaccurate (FDT flag does not maintain postitioning #6)
  • -ov fails to find root window
  • -ovr is displayed over all windows rather than under

Similar problems on Cinnamon: -fs does not work; -ovr causes display over all other windows; when the gif does appear, it is in four tiled instances - an effect perhaps of HiDPI scaling?

@LinuxOnTheDesktop sorry for the horribly late response, no the tiled instances is a result of the window being redrawn to fill the extra space xwinwrap expects, this can be fixed by either scaling the gif or cutting the expected window size using the xwinwrap options. As for the -fs, and -ovr, I am sorry to hear that. You could try just -ov, I have a solution but I will not get to implementing it until I have the time (won't be for awhile).

Edit: about a year later and I have completely forgotten my "solution"

@aaahh

Thanks. I think I'll give the software another go once it is further developed.
