How to use GitHub

  • Please use the 👍 reaction to show that you are affected by the same issue.
  • Please don't comment if you have no relevant information to add. It's just extra noise for everyone subscribed to this issue.
  • Subscribe to receive notifications on status change and new comments.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Write a message that contain backticks
  2. Send the message normally with Return/Enter
  3. Write a second message (without backticks)

Expected behaviour

Message should be sent via Return/Enter

Actual behaviour

A new line is added instead of sending the message. Sending requires now CTRL+Return/Enter until site is reloaded.

Cannot reproduce on Chrome 130 and macOS Sonoma...

Could you show a screenshot or add a message sample?

I checked again, it seems to happen when I paste something in after a backtick?

Ah, could be that paste is broken 👀
Also to that. I think, could be related: when pasting a multiline text with newlines, they parsed differently, and cursor can no longer be moved with arrow keys
