Great work guys, but I have an issue:
I am trying to get the Thumbnailer working on Windows 10, I built the project, got the DLL and the installation with the installer or the command prompt was successful too. But even when I restart my PC, I still see no thumbnail on the .hdf5 files in the examples.

This is because HDF5 files don't automatically (or commonly) come with XMP metadata for thumbnails. I have just uploaded a few example files to the exampledata repo that do have XMP metadata and should show a thumbnail in your file browser if the DLL is installed.

exampledata/SLS/Focus_2021-03-16_051.hdf5
exampledata/SLS/Sample_Image_2021-03-16_095.hdf5
exampledata/SLS/Sample_Line_2021-03-16_096.hdf5
exampledata/SLS/Sample_Stack_2021-03-16_128.hdf5

I just had the same problem. And your examples worked for me. But the ones in this repo don't. Do you know why? Are they outdated?

In the previous comment, I had forgotten that there are some example files in this repo that do have XMP thumbnail metadata included in them.

I just checked the current example files on a Windows 10 machine and they performed as expected (works for me!). I notice that the older examples have the XML indented with spaces, which maybe makes a difference. Note that you can see the XML at the top of an hdf5 file just by opening it in a text editor.
