Fail to activate window in different workspace

I really liked the idea of Aerospace, but I often encounter strange behavior of the windows.

To avoid listing here too many issues at once, I start with the most annoying one. Until I do not find a solution for this, I am afraid I won't be able to use Aerospace.

When I call an application from a different workspace, the application often fails to activate (i.e., to bring it in focus). As a concrete example, from the terminal workspace t I open a file in terminal by calling Sublime Text Editor. I expect Sublime Text editor to receive the focus in the IDE workspace i. However, only 50% of the times it receives the focus. The file is opened, but then if I want to get it in focus, I need to repeat the operation twice or switch manually to the IDE workspace.

This is cumbersome and adds steps to my workflow instead of simplifying it. Did you ever encounter anything similar? Is it a known bug? Any solution?
