More than a year ago, logic for scheduling posts started to get added to the Mastodon backend: mastodon/mastodon#9706
I would love to be able to do things like:
schedule a post for a particular date and time
have a default schedule that my posts are released on (eg hourly, daily), so I can binge post without flooding the timelines of folks following me. Ideally, with an option to post immediately if something is urgent, and an option to exclude replies and DMs from the schedule
have an automatic delay (eg 24 hours) on the release of all posts, with an option to redraft them if I think better of what I said or how I worded it
The scheduling logic committed to Mastodon so far may or may not allow all (or any) of these, and there are probably some other features that could make use of it.
