Port for Firefox Themer #101
Comments
Apparently Mozilla renamed 'Firefox Themer' to 'Firefox Color'. Updated URL: Firefox Color Nord Theme (copied from OP) |
The previous theme posted seems to work for an older version of Firefox color, and it didn't seem to exactly match the colors either. I went ahead and made a theme that uses the exact HTML color codes. Here you go guys: link |
I was also working on something like you guys are for firefox. I wasn't using the color experiment though and instead going through MDN's theme docs to build it. Here is what I have. Lets consolidate and get this done! I definitely feel like there is room to improve on mine and wish I could find out how to style the actice tab highlight. |
Hey, I know I'm kind of late to this Github issue but I have a working Firefox Port project using the manifest.json theme guide. Its available at https://github.com/dragonejt/nord-firefox (take a look at manifest.json) Its also available on the Mozilla Addons Page at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nord-firefox/. It would be great if anyone could make an official Firefox port project repository so that we could get an official theme off the ground. I have emailed [email protected] but nobody seems to be responding. I have some experience editing the manifest.json file for themes so I could also help. Thank you! |
Description
Firefox Themer is a new Firefox Test Pilot experiment that lets users define colors for various UI elements using a simple GUI. It requires the installation of an add-on following which users can simply use the Firefox Themer website to pick their colors. The required add-on can be installed from the same website.
It is also possible to share the theme so created using an unique URL for your theme (the set of colors). I have attempted to make a Nord theme and am sharing a link to the same below:
Firefox Themer Nord Theme
I'd really appreciate your input on how closely this theme follows the Nord UI guidelines and suggest necessary modifications following which this could be turned into a low-maintenance port project which would also be easily installable.
