As per https://v2.tauri.app/blog/tauri-2-0-0-release-candidate/ the main highlight is that Tauri 2.0 is set to be stable by the end of this month.

The major feature for us is flatpak support. Though I assume there are a host of other improvements as well.

Will start on this as soon as it's released as a stable version.
