Issues in public repository changing to private user when edited

I maintain a public repository with several issues which are png files I share with the public. On an annual basis I edit the issue, replacing the existing png with an updated version. Have been doing this for years. Today when I edit the issue and th en click on the image (to get the new url) the url starts with https://private-user-images.githubusercontent.com/ rather than https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/. I have checked my settings for the repository (which is public), chatted with co-pilot, etc. Can anybody help please.
