MuseScore is admirably dedicated to document portability (i.e. consistent display on .com as well as in the MuseScore app) but that limits scorists to fonts that are system-common or baked into MuseScore.
And though there are some .org discussions on the matter, I'm wondering if there's ever been a Github discussion about embedding a subset of an unusual or custom font (i.e. only the glyphs used in the score) like PDF does. Alternately perhaps MuseScore could retain its document portability by referencing WebFonts! Works for HTML and CSS.
I hope something like this is being consider because I want to use some fonts I've made, for musical symbols like tablature fret numbers, fretboard diagrams, capo images ...
