How to report a segfault in a helpful manner?

I'm encountering a segfault and getting the message like

But, at that link I am (rationally) prompted to describe how to reproduce the segfault. But, well, it's hard to disentangle my codebase to get a minimal reproducible example. I'd be grateful for suggestions. (And even more so, how to work around something like this!)
