From what I've read the consensus seems to be that the changeset is the more appropriate place for attribution than the objects themselves
I generally put something like:
comment: Added/improved geometry of building footprints and included address information as attributes where available
source: RLIS, November 2014 release & NAIP Summer 2014 aerial imagery
