How to replace spaces (%20) in URI of custom search engine with dash?

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to define a custom search engine for the service https://aa.com/%s/s. However, this service requires that spaces be replaced with dashes (“-”) instead of the usual “%20”. Is there any way to configure a custom search engine so that spaces are automatically converted to dashes? Thanks for your help!
