VoodooRMI.Kext and VoodooSMBus.kext are incompatible with the T480 and should be removed from the EFI and config.plist unless someone can explain why they should be included. My trackpad and buttons and red trackpoint button were not working at all because VoodooRMI.kext and VoodooSMBus.kext were in the EFI and config. These are not meant to be used with the T480. VoodooPS2Controller.kext is all that is needed. VoodooPS2Controller.kext was not loading because of the conflict created between it and VoodooRMI.kext and VoodooSMBus.kext. Once I removed both VoodooRMI.Kext and its companion VoodooSMBus.kext and also added a kernel entry for VoodooPS2Trackpad.kext (a plugin included in VoodooPS2Controller.kext) my trackpad, buttons and trackpoint button are working perfectly!😄
