Hey I noticed a thread on kvraudio which said alpha transparency isn't available for the canvas objects since there's no way to store it in the pd patch (even though there's some notion of alpha in the codes objects).
I was wondering if it would be possible to save a copy of the patch as say patch.pda for pd alpha, where one of the rgb channels for each object stores the alpha value instead? This way the patch itself is still compatible with pd and only the pda file is also used when drawing in plugdata.
The .pda could be modified to just store the alpha for each object and not the values or positions or other channels, so the file is also smaller but depends on what is easier to implement I guess
