As a novice user of CPT in general, i feel a bit overwhelmed at the start page of Pods.
First i have to click "Edit pods", which is a term that is only ever used by Pods, and new users has to learn what that is.
But the main reason for me is that taxonomies and CPT's are mixed together by default.
I find ACF easier to use than Pods, and one of the reason is that they do not mix CPT, field groups and taxonomies.
Put the CPT and taxonomies in different containers. It will make it much easier to glance and understand.
Different types (CPT and taxonomies) should be visually distinguished from one another, and not grouped together as if they are the same.

Default pods:
Pods with seperation of types (lazily made by me)
