In Notebook, Bokeh sample does not draw in notebook #5521

System details:

Positron and OS details:

Positron Version: 2024.12.0 (Universal) build 80
OSX

Interpreter details:

Python 3.10.12

Describe the issue:

Using (Bokeh section):
Plots and Widgets Notebook

Plot goes to plots pane instead of notebook.

However, if you first run one of the HVPlot samples, then run the Bokeh sample, it works.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Run the Bokeh sample from Plots and Widgets Notebook
Note that no plot appears
Restart the interpreter
Run one of the hvplot samples
Run the bokeh sample
Note that the bokeh plot appears

Expected or desired behavior:

Bokeh plot always appears

Were there any error messages in the UI, Output panel, or Developer Tools console?

Not sure any of this is related, but:

testlabauto added the area: notebooks label
