Crash caused by unexpected character

Description of the bug

I lost work done when I accidently pressed "?" "~" in Cut Position Height. When I closed the Cut window the program crashed.

Hello @AlainWilliamson,

Thank you for your report. This issue appears to be similar to #13458, where the problem was caused by closing the CUT gizmo while editing the cut position height thru "ESC" button.
