Logging with username and password fails for influxdb.

Sending username and password is currently not possible

Regarding authentication, I received this PR on my project that sets the credentials for influx by setting them on the underlying LWP::UA object: mad-ady/SmokePing#1
Maybe it is helpful for others as well.
