When I use G, G to pick geometry and select a whole "chain" of edges, I would expect to be able to use these to chamfer. This is not possible. In the report view I get the following error:
21:12:13 <PartDesign> FeatureDressUp.cpp(151): coathanger#Chamfer: skip invalid shape ';#6f;Wire#c4;:H1bd:8,W.Wire21' with type Wire
21:12:13 302.385 <App> Document.cpp(4293): Failed to recompute coathanger#Chamfer: No edges specified
As can be see, when I chamfer I get a "wire" instead of a set of edges. If an operation such as chamfer takes edges, the wire should be automatically converted.
