its been about 6 years since the last update, wanted to know if there are any plans to get back to this or if there are any cool forks that are still updated regularly?

I was wondering the exact same thing, looking for alternatives to rocketchat made me stumble upon this, and although it's a quite cool project, seems now abandonware.
With 1.6K forks one could think someone took the baton, but I'm not able to see the forks
