context:

my ask: is there an array node I can use for displaying multiple solutions? anthony added that and I'm not sure what to replace it with

your reply: there's a systems of equation node, but this is probably not what you want... there's also a sequence node which could be used... could you send me some examples of what the array node does?

You said: I would've done x = ±9/2 and then finally x = -9/2, 9/2... I think the brackets will be confusing if/when linear algebra is introduced

(aside: yeah the plus minus would be awesome - we don't really use it in mathsteps right now)

You decided:

We should probably introduce an array/list node that separate from sequence. Sequence implies there's an order. The solution is kind of a like a Set though except we usually don't write it in Set notation.

That's the tricky thing about the whole semantic aspect of this is that there are multiple notations which have the same meaning. I'm inclined to create a Set node and use that and have a setting to describe what notation we want to use for a Set in a particular context.

Which sounds good to me! This will also need changes to math-parser I'm assuming
