SexiGraf: Is There A Docker For It? #388
Comments
We've been asked a lot but historicaly our customers rarely have internet connection close to the vCenter hence the ova format. |
"Also, why are you using Virtualbox instead of running it inside one of the ESX you are monitoring?" Good question rschitz!!!!!! At my new place of employment at a state hosptial - they are a little reluctant and conservative about adding virtual appliances to the server infrastructure. Also being new, I don't want to just come in and start just adding servers without learning this new infrastructure first. Eventually I will request if I can just import the OVA into our VMware infrastructure. |
Ok i get it, then you should request access to the pre-prod env that would be used for upgrade testing for example :) |
Ahhh okay. I was suspecting it would be difficult to containerize SexiGraf. I tried to containerize SexiGraf per this link -https://www.vinnie.work/blog/2021-03-19-virtualmachine-to-docker. Of course it didn't work :). Ok thanks rschitz. I'll keep this open for awhile for others to chime in and then close this thread :) Thanks |
Good Day All,
Not an issue but more of a question. Does anyone know if there is or will be a docker for Sexigraf? I am running Sexigraf within Oracle Virtualbox on my local desktop which is beefed up with memory. Running the SexiGraf virtual appliance within a Docker container would be more desirable.
Are there any future plans to host SexiGraf in a container?
Thanks
Steve
