simple64-netplay-server is a command line program. You launch it as follows (using a PowerShell/terminal window):
./simple64-netplay-server.exe --name "my server name"
The name isn't very important. The server requires the following ports to be open:
- TCP 45000 (for matchmaking) and 45001 (for syncing save files and settings)
- UDP 45001 (for transferring input data)
You can then connect to the server by choosing the "Custom" option when creating/joining a room in simple64, and typing in the IP address of your server.
