Our team has a single instance of Snipe-IT configured, even though we manage inventory departmentally as if it was run by several companies, these departments all fall under one company. The ability to set a user's sub-department (even as a field) would be extremely helpful to help further organize, search, and report asset information.
At the time, we're considering configuring sub-departments as a child location to work around this.

Hi,
Our team has a single instance of Snipe-IT configured, even though we manage inventory departmentally as if it was run by several companies, these departments all fall under one company. The ability to set a user's sub-department (even as a field) would be extremely helpful to help further organize, search, and report asset information.

Thanks!
