As some added information to this discussion, placing the same database in each location is not an option, again due to the security restrictions, I can not add each database to each location, as this becomes a security issue. |

Good day, all.
I have a situation due to security, i have various mobile systems which can be shipped anywhere, each mobile unit has various systems installed, majority of which are the same in each system, the issue I am trying to solve is, that each unit is a separate inventory database, which I need to merge with the main system in our main office, I did a search for merge within the manuals and i was not able to find the solution.
a bit of background. each system is installed as a fresh system within the traveling unit, these are updated and maintained in each location, spares are moved from the parts area to the production area and where required shipped out for repair, and tracked and returned to use once it is received. all this information needs to be exported from the remote unit and then the main system updated, the assets in each system has a unique id, based on the unit. some of the equipment may move from one unit to another, which would be achieved with the checkout function. but in the end this information needs to be updated with a file returned to the main unit on a secure encrypted thumb drive. communication between the remote site and the main office, is not allowed due to where the units are remotely installed.
So any any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.
Regards
Mike
