My name is Kirsty, and I am passionate about creating software that empowers people with disabilities to fully participate in the digital world. I make software to help people use eye control to play PC games, communicate, and write their own code.
My key projects are:
- EyeMine (eye controlled Minecraft)
- OK, Game On (eye controlled PC gaming or console gaming via streaming apps)
- Optikey Coder (experimental fork optimised for coding)
I am also a key contributor to Optikey (eye controlled literate communication and computer access) and wrote the original implementation of the OpenVoiceFactory AAC
I provide one-to-one support to users to customise their assistive tech setup (including Optikey), including development of new features where appropriate.
One of the biggest challenges in assistive technology is helping users understand and customize their software to meet their unique needs and abilities. As well as spending time implementing new user requests, and working on maintenance and stability, I would like to spend more time creating comprehensive documentation and providing individualised support for bespoke interfaces.
By supporting me through sponsorship, you can be part of my mission to make the digital world accessible to all.
