Hey there - I'm Zachary Taylor, the lead of the Computer Aided Die Study project. I am passionate about digital humanities and am seeking funding to further the project!

Funds received through a GitHub project sponsorship will help develop CADS further, with planned improvements including:

  • Improved computer-vision methodology
    • More sophisticated features & analysis
    • Edge detection, masks (test cuts, damage, etc)
  • Automated die grouping
  • Integrations with online databases (Nomisma et al.)
  • Better user interface
  • Much more!

Reaching my sponsorship goals will allow me to set aside dedicated time to work on CADS each week, which currently takes away from my incredibly demanding day job (startup!). Without the proper funding, it is difficult to find the hours to set aside for this research.
