Just to confirm, discv4 could also benefit from IPv6 support. We do seesome real IPv6 addresses from IPv4 discovery.
We also see many IPv4 nodes represented by mapped IPv4-in-IPv6 address (ffff::a.b.c.d). (These just need those addresses converting when parsing the incoming messages.) Currently the effect of these is to cause unsightly error messages due to IPv6 not being supported.
IPv6 and multiple (ipv4 + ipv6) listening addresses support placeholder.
