My students frequently try to scroll using the middle mouse scroll. It works, however it is about 1/4 as sensitive as scrolling a page in the browser. If it were more sensitive, it would help the students out.

Hmm. My middle mouse button is very responsive. Can you please test in other environments?

It feels like it has been discussed earlier (with a PR). I also feel the same about its sensitivity.
Tested : Ubuntu, Debian, Windows

I will try on my Windows box tonight. I see no difference when running Chromium on Fedora on a Thinkpad

If it is helpful: the sensitivity seems to be enough when I am on a laptop, but not on a desktop with a mouse "middle-scroll-wheel" (whatever it is called).

I took a video that I can upload as well.

this seems to be an issue with firefox browser , firefox provides deltaY property of mouse scroll in units"line width" unlike (chromium,IE,canary) that use pixel . more info : https://gist.github.com/akella/11574989a9f3cc9e0ad47e401c12ccaf .
