Add support for extensions installed on the system level
Who's implementing?
I'm willing to implement this feature myself
The problem
I don't use Ungoogled Chromium all that often, just for sites that have issues with Firefox. I still won't go to any site without uBlock Origin. Manually updating uBlock Origin just about every time I startup Ungoogled Chromium is a, albeit very minor, hassle
Possible solutions
I'm using Debian, which has webext-ublock-origin-chromium in its repositories. While it doesn't get feature updates, it should get security and compatibility updates regularly enough. If Ungoogled Chromium could use extensions installed on the system level, that would make it a bit more convenient for my use case
Alternatives
No response
Additional context
I completely understand if this feature won't be implemented. I don't know how much work would have to be done and it's just for a very minor inconvenience for a niche use-case. Thank you for your time!
