Description

A shortcut to switch appearance mode (light/dark)

Who's implementing?

  • I'm willing to implement this feature myself

The problem

I'm always frustrated when daylight change happens.

Then I need to travel a long way of:

  1. "Customize and control Chromium" three dots button
  2. Settings
  3. Appearance
  4. "Mode" drop-down menu
  5. Close settings tab

Possible solutions

Add a switch button to the taskbar among the others, like "Extensions", not-useful-at-all-and-could-be-removed-replaced "Enable featured experiments" and three dots "Customize and control Chromium" buttons.

Alternatives

Installing an untrustworthy extension.
