Vaadin Designer does not open typescript views correctly generated from https://start.vaadin.com/

Steps to reproduce

Generate starter project with typescript and html views from https://start.vaadin.com/
Import the project into Intellij
Open the typescript view in Vaadin Designer

Actual behavior

Vaadin Designer opens but only the palette and outline work
The canvas does not show the components on the canvas which are present in the outline. You are not able to edit or drag and drop items onto the canvas.

Expected behavior

The canvas should show the components on it and allow editing

Vaadin Designer: 4.5.13
Intellij IDEAD: Ultimate 2019.3
Windows 10.
Chrome: Version 86.0.4240.75 (Official Build) (64-bit)
