See the following recording for a better understanding:

Three devices are plugged, but until the Bitbox is unlocked, none of them shows up in the setup modal. This could be confusing for a user that wants to select a different device and has a Bitbox plugged in.

had a quick look at this, the issue is the call to device_info.opne_device(api) is blocking
