dotBIM is always on a corner of my radar... At the moment, though, it only (AFAICS) supports meshes, which is not so interesting in FreeCAD, so it's rather low priority...

But definitely at some point we should start working on this.

In any case, this repo is being outdated ans the BIM workbench is now integrated in FreeCAD. If you don't mind, could you recreate this issue at https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/issues ?
