Condom emoji

The popular brand Durex has proposed a Condom emoji to Unicode, but failed due to lack of support from major vendors. They have launched a social media campaign in September 2016 to support their proposal and in late November another one to establish the existing Umbrella with Raindrops emoji ☔️ as a metaphorical safe-sex symbol; the Balloon emoji 🎈 could stand in for a rubber as well.

Displaying a characteristic Wrapper packaging may be considered socially more acceptable than and inflated penis-shaped glyph #243 and more visually distinct than an unwrapped condom ring.
