Environment Variables

Alpaca uses a couple of environment variables to control it's behavior.

How To Apply Environment Variables

Flatpak

flatpak override --env=VARIABLE_NAME=VARIABLE_VALUE com.jeffser.Alpaca

Available Variables

Ollama

You can modify these 3 environment variables from the preferences dialog in Alpaca

• HSA_OVERRIDE_GFX_VERSION
• CUDA_VISIBLE_DEVICES
• ROCR_VISIBLE_DEVICES

Any other variable can be added normally.

Alpaca

ALPACA_SHOW_HUGE_MODELS

If this variable is equal to 1, Alpaca will show hidden models that only provide huge model sizes.

ALPACA_SHOW_EMBEDDING_MODELS

By default Alpaca hides embedding models since they don't work directly with Alpaca. To change this behavior set this variable to 1
