is there a reason why you change it to the funkin.assets main branch?
because it just leads to issues, since the char-creator folder only exists in our own fork

it's probably due to the way git on vscode works - I only push and pull code from this branch
idk I haven't worked with git that much, up until recently I had been manually moving my files to repos

in that case, i can recommend the
Github Desktopapp.in my opinion it has an intuitive ui, and helps with simple github tasks, like cloning, pushing, pulling.
there are also other Github ui apps if i remember correctly, so you can also try them out.
