Uninstall should be via Programs and Features #9
Comments
Good day Ebr, So that will be with upcoming server build? My best |
Actually, since it is a part of the installer, you could test it now by un-installing your current server and then re-installing it via the download link (won't work if you unzip from dropbox). However, the current uninstaller doesn't know about it so, if you un-install via "Programs and Features" it won't remove the entry yet. That will work after the next server release. |
Many thanks Ebr! That the problem, I will try to install it via the setup and hope it completed the download to test this. |
Those methods of uninstalling are dead with the next version. You will uninstall via Programs and Features. Did the new installer give you the uninstall option in "Programs and Features"? You cannot simply run the uninstaller manually as it has to be told what to uninstall. Well, you can but you have to provide it with command line parameters. |
Did not install the new build yet (need to finish the download first - hoping it will happens tho) :) |
Okay. With the next server release, it should actually work properly. |
I was writing to the wrong hive (causing the security problem). A new installer is up that shouldn't cause that issue. |
This has not been completely tested yet... |
I test it and it working here, it remove the server. |
Excellent. Thx. |
Good day, It not working at all, it only remove 2 things: 1 - System folder. 2 - Short cut in the start menu (mb3 group). As I test it to remove everything (All 2 option when starting the uninstall), after it done, still left over for everything: Also notice that give me error before the end of it as this: My best |
|
None of the 2 |
Can you make it happen again? And, if so, can you look in task manager to see what could be holding a lock on that folder? |
Migration to paper-controls
The previous attempt (Organize Movies MediaBrowser#9) to migrate all controls to paper-controls didn't work out well, so I reverted that change. This commit should get it all working again! The switch to paper-dialog as a component (technically) and the new dialog layout style (back button in the upper corner replacing individual cancel buttons) is completed now and most of the obvious bugs should be fixed.
