While nRF Connect v1 was a dedicated Bluetooth low energy tool, v2 is a framework that can launch multiple desktop apps. The Bluetooth low energy tool has been rewritten as an app for the nRF Connect framework, and can be installed and launched through the nRF Connect UI.
